With the continuously financial assistances provided by the JAPAN-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) over the past 4 years, Thai Civilian Deminer Association (TDA) have cleared landmine contaminated areas in the border areas of Surin Province Thailand, and returned safe areas of 4,729,111 sq. m. (as of 11 July 2018) to local people/authorities for utilizations. Approximately 9,954 units of landmines/Explosive Remnant of War (ERW) have been found/located and removed for disposal with the assistance of the Humanitarian Mine Action Unit 3 (HMAU 3) under Thailand Mine Action Center. All members of TDA are very proud of this recent record. It means that they can help innocent people from stepping on landmine which always cause ramification to them and their families. This record, of cause, cannot happen without the gracious support provided by the JAPAN via JAIF. We, on behalf of Thai people living in the proximity of mined areas, take this opportunity to thank the Japanese government and hers people very much.
